Under employment legislation, within two months of the start date employers must provide new employees with a contract of employment, which sets out the basis of the employment relationship.

Our expert solicitors are able to advise on a wide range of business related matters relevant to a new business.  For example, our employment specialists can advise on employment legislation and obligations on employers, our property lawyers can advise on commercial tenancy and leasehold agreements and our commercial solicitors can advise on company law such as partnership and shareholder agreements

Advice under the New Business Start Up scheme does not, however, include any transactional or drafting work (except the provision of a contract of employment).
