Larcomes LLP with offices in Portsmouth and Waterlooville in Hampshire have recently strengthened its Industrial Diseases team by appointing Amanda-Jane Shackleton as a new Associate Member.  This new appointment follows on from the appointment of David Sumner who specialises in all aspects of commercial and business property and commercial litigation as an Associate Member in late 2014.

Amanda-Jane (pictured above), joined Larcomes LLP as a trainee solicitor in 2007, qualifying as a solicitor in 2009. Amanda-Jane specialises in representing asbestos disease victims and their families and has considerable experience in dealing with compensation claims for asbestos related pleural thickening, asbestosis, asbestos related lung cancer and mesothelioma.

David Sumner (pictured below), qualified as a solicitor in July 2006 and joined Larcomes LLP in September 2010. David deals with all aspects of commercial and business property, including land development, commercial leases, business and company sales and purchases. David also undertakes environmental and marine work as well as agricultural land development and related transactions.

David also has a wide and varied experience in commercial litigation, County Court and High Court commercial disputes, possession claims and landlord and tenant disputes, as well as environmental and planning, Judicial Review and other public law litigation.
