A Message from Larcomes: Reflecting on 2025 and Looking Ahead to 2026

As we approach the end of another year, we want to take a moment to reflect on 2025, celebrate our achievements, and most importantly, thank you, our clients, for placing your trust in Larcomes.

For over a century, Larcomes has served the people of Portsmouth and Hampshire, and we are incredibly proud of our history, our people, and the services we provide. Although we began life as a small family solicitors practice in Portsmouth over a hundred years ago, we now have offices in Portsmouth, Waterlooville, and Fareham, providing specialist legal advice across a wide range of legal services to the local community in Hampshire and across the UK.

2025 Highlights and Achievements

This year has been one of significant growth and development for Larcomes. Here are some of the key milestones we are proud to share with you:

Appointment of Three New Directors

In May, we announced the appointment of three dynamic new Directors to our Board, the first appointments of Directors since 2016. The new Directors are:

Chloe Saunders, a specialist in Private Client Law
Jennie Swaby, a specialist Family Law Solicitor
Natalie Courage, the Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA) within the firm

Acquisition of Children’s Legal Practice Ltd

In August, Larcomes acquired the Children’s Legal Practice Ltd, a niche family law practice based in Fareham, Hampshire. This takeover strengthens our presence in the region and significantly enhances our capacity to serve clients navigating complex family law issues, as well as those requiring specialist legal advice across a wide range of legal disciplines.

The acquisition marks an exciting new chapter for Larcomes and underscores our commitment to growing our services while maintaining the highest standards of client care.

Larcomes Community Involvement During 2025

Our commitment to the local community has always been at the heart of what we do. This year, we have been proud to support a number of local organisations and initiatives, including:

Continued Partnership and Support of HASAG: Larcomes Asbestos Claims Team is proud to support the work of the southern asbestos support group HASAG Asbestos Disease Support. HASAG Asbestos Disease Support is a charity which supports asbestos sufferers providing much needed assistance and guidance. Earlier this year, we supported HASAG through their quiz night fundraiser, helping to raise awareness and funds for this vital local charity. Our Industrial Diseases team has specialised in representing asbestos disease sufferers for over 40 years, so supporting HASAG’s vital work is particularly close to our hearts. The Rowans Hospice: We continued our partnership with The Rowans Hospice, which provided specialist palliative care to adults in Hampshire.
Care Home Legal Clinics: Our Director, Chloe Saunders, has been running regular legal advice drop-in clinics at two local care homes, providing accessible legal support to elderly residents and their families on matters such as Lasting Powers of Attorney, Wills, and estate planning.

These initiatives reflect our belief that being a responsible business means giving back to the community that has supported us for over a century.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we look to the year ahead, we are excited about the opportunities and challenges that 2026 will bring.

Our Fareham office is now fully operational and offers the full range of Larcomes’ services. Walk-ins are welcome, and we encourage anyone in the Fareham area who needs legal advice to visit us at our new location.
